Recovery Efforts from Hurricane Helene's Destruction

In Tennessee and North Carolina

How Can You Help?

Hurricane Helene has left a trail of destruction in our beloved communities of the Appalachian Mountains. Countless homes have been damaged or destroyed, businesses have been disrupted, and thousands of people have been displaced. We are using our skills and experience to help those affected by the flooding take the first steps towards recovery and rebuilding their lives.

The need and impact...

We are passionate about supporting ministry leaders, missionaries, and everyday individuals facing burnout, exhaustion, or life's challenges. While our physical sanctuary is still a vision, we offer remote counsel, inner healing, and discipleship to those seeking restoration for body, soul, and spirit.
The testimonials you'll find below are from individuals who’ve walked this journey with us. These are friends and fellow believers who we've walked with over the years. Their stories are a testament to the heart of our mission: to walk alongside others on their path to wholeness.

Donald and Alice are deeply committed to seeing the Church flourish…and for this to happen, we need healthy disciples. Many people are overwhelmed by the demands of ministry, facing burnout, and are on the verge of giving up. Donald and Alice's passion for restoring rest to the body, fostering genuine discipleship within organic communities, and promoting freedom is crucial to the Church's health now more than ever.

We have known the Browns for eight years and have worked alongside them in various capacities. I’ve witnessed their endurance through hardship and the resilience they’ve built to further their mission. They are honest, discerning, hardworking, and deeply in tune with the Spirit of God. They shepherd with humility and counsel with compassion and empathy. Their genuine love for people and commitment to helping others walk in freedom is contagious, inspiring others to pursue what God has called them to do with courage.

They are incredible gifts to the body, wonderful friends, and my life is richer for knowing them.

"I met Donald and Alice through Mountain Gateway, during a difficult season in my life. Donald and Alice not only helped me through that season in many different ways but they became more than friends, they became family! Alice helped me heal by not just discipling me and pushing me closer to Jesus but also helped me with my physical health.
As a missionary I can personally testify to the need of a place like this to not only come and rest but a place where we can have resources to better ourselves mind, soul and body so that we as missionaries can continue to do the work the Lord has asked of us and see all nations come to know Jesus! Through a God-encounter with Alice, and later her family, I was brought into a tribe of women who, like me, experienced great hardship and felt lost on how to heal, what healing even means, and how to move forward into purpose and living, not solely existing. I learned how God cared about the whole of my being and not only parts of me. He desires an organic and intimate relationship with me. This began the lifelong journey of me valuing deep connection with God over hollow perfectionism. At times this growth, pruning, and change has not been easy. Yet, I know now, it is worth it to see God as a loving Father one who cares greatly about my WHOLE well being--spirit, soul, and body--and how He has given me many tools to walk in that. Forever grateful for my friend, Mom, sister in Christ.”

"On February 14, 2018, I met the most amazing woman at our first small group, Hearing God Through the Noise. Little did I know that my life would never be the same. Alice and her family took us in and wrapped us in the love of Jesus. She taught me the meaning of a House of Acts and showed me how the Holy Spirit is alive in us. Alice guided me to make the Lord the center of my life and my best friend. To this day, she and her family continue to minister to me, even from hundreds of miles away. Alice has the ability to reach me in my darkest moments and help me see that the Lord is there, waiting for me to surrender to His plan. Her family are mighty warriors for Jesus, showing the love of Christ in a way that brings you to your knees in worship. They give all the glory to Jesus, and I am forever grateful for the night God led me to Alice and her family."

"Meeting the Browns for the first time was an eventful experience. From the very beginning, I could feel their genuine care for people and the peace they carried with them. They are wonderful individuals who have taught me many valuable lessons.

When I heard about the garden, I was thrilled. I am confident they can create that physical place of rest because I have witnessed firsthand how their love, patience, and intentional discipleship allow them to partner with Jesus to go straight to the heart and restore the garden within. I am so grateful to have them in my life and look forward to seeing them fulfill their calling in others. My garden is restored, and I now have one goal in life: that the world might know Him!"
