The Lord has been challenging us since we began this journey in 2017. What does true servanthood look like when you feel as though you have next to nothing to offer? What do you have to give?

Throughout our journey with Him, He has given us particular questions to ponder and pray on to challenge us in this area of servanthood;

1. What spiritual goals would you like to set?

  • By God’s grace (the operational power He has given you) working in and through you, what can you do—just one thing—to grow closer to Him?

2. What gifts would you like to share?

  • What gifts can you share to enrich the body of Christ?
  • What can you do for God in your current environment, with your current resources?

3. How do you do this with the current resources you have?

  • Are you looking at what you have around you, rather than looking at what you don’t have?
  • How could God use you right where you are, with what He has given you?

The Lord brought us back to these challenging questions when an opportunity arose with Evergreen Missions. They asked if we would be willing to minister to their friends who are pastors coming in from Winnipeg, Canada. When approached with the request of spending the day with them in Boone and ministering to them, being that we have not obtained a property to welcome guests, our first thought was “what will we do with them”, “where will we take them if it rains”? Our only option would be to drive to the campground where we are currently living and hang out in our RV. Not the most convenient remedy.

However, this thought process did start us down the path of what we do best…make do with the resources we have! We began thinking about the beautiful cabins available at Camp Faith, where we currently live. Why couldn’t we use those?

It was perfect, the cabins here are beautiful, private and this is by far the quietest & most beautiful campground we have ever stayed at.

Here’s the resources we have!

Camp Faith is a public, faith-based campground nestled on 81 acres of the Cherokee National Forest, sitting right next to Lake Watauga. It is an absolutely beautiful paradise nestled in the mountains of Butler, TN, 37 minutes west of Boone, NC. It has one 2 bedroom/2 bath cottage, 5 cabins and plenty primitive camping. Why would we not utilize this resource?

So here’s where you come in! This is your chance to use your gifts and resources to help us provide a place of healing and restoration right where we are.

Here’s how we make do with the resources we have!

We identify the needs and supply the resources to ensure a memorable experience for those seeking rest and healing. Below are the following expenses we expect will be incurred:

So we ask these challenging questions to you…
  1. What spiritual goals would you like to set?
  2. What gifts would you like to share?
  3. How do you accomplish this with the current resources you have?

Here’s where you can start. Here’s ways you can be praying:

  1. Pray for the missionaries and ministers who need this time of rest and renewal.
  2. Pray for us to be sensitive to the spirit and honor their time here. Our desire is to be sensitive to what they may or may not be up for. Pray that we are able to cultivate an environment for them to be re-inspired and to return to their assignment winning souls for the kingdom.
  3. Pray for the financial support to be able to accommodate at least 1 – 2 couples or families a month.

Your generous donations will help cover these expenses and ensure that our guests have a wonderful and impactful experience. By hosting a guest at Camp Faith, you are not only providing a much-needed respite but also contributing to the spiritual growth and well-being of others.

We invite individuals and groups to consider hosting guests at Camp Faith. Together, we can create a lasting legacy of service and compassion.
